Devon had the best of the opening minutes and led 5-3, before a few costly turnovers allowed the Cavaliers to get the momentum and take a 12-10 lead into quarter-time.

Cavaliers picked up where they left up in the second quarter and broke the lead out to 21-12 by the fifth minute of the term with more errors from Devon in mid-court allowing the visitors to break out to a 32-17 advantage at the long break.

The hosts were unable to arrest some control of the game after the break and allowed the Cavaliers to score the first 14 goals of the second half and 19-3 for the quarter to blow the lead out to 31 goals going into the final term.

Devon swung the changes in the final quarter to try and gain a spark that had left them after the first term, but the Cavaliers kept the foot down and outscored Devon 21-7 in the final term.

There were injury concerns for Devon, as 19 and under player Ebony Collins went down in the final quarter with an apparent knee injury after coming on at the last break.

Cavaliers' Shannae Heazlewood was in fine form over four quarters and was named player of the game.

Cavaliers were also able to come out on top in the 19 and under game, with a comfortable 45-30 victory over the hosts.
