Roads, streets and bridge works in the Meander Valley are expected to take up more than half of the council's 2019/20 capital works budget.

Meander Valley Council has released its draft budget, worth more than $7.6 million, to will be discussed at Tuesday's meeting.
About $4.7 million is expected to be spent on roads. Nearly $4 million will be spent on renewing roads, with $1.7m worth of new roads to be constructed or upgraded.
Osmaston Road will receive works worth $650,000, along with $30,000 of road safety improvements at the golf course. About $375,000 will be spent on improvements to Meander Valley Road at Carrick and Westbury.
In an attempt to calm traffic on Chris Street at Prospect, the council will spend $65,000.
The council budgeted $5 million for roads this financial year.
Bridges across the region will have more than $1.3 million spent on them. Warners Creek, Burnies Creek and Jackeys Creek bridges will all have $240,000 spent on each.
It is proposed $260,000 be spent on footpaths, with $60,000 of that going to Bracknell, and $80,000 to Deloraine.
More than $830,000 will be spent on the region's recreation grounds and sports facilities.
The Deloraine Football Ground's drainage design is budgeted to cost about $25,000. The site would also get stage two of its female toilet and change room refurbishments, with a proposed cost of $75,000 including a $35,000 grease trap installation.
Westbury Recreation Ground would get a new cricket block worth $50,000, but that is subject to a number of grants being approved.
Las Vegas Drive Reserve playground design renewal design is budgeted to cost $10,000.
Health, community and welfare combined will have about $400,000 for cemeteries, community amenity and urban stormwater drainage. Bracknell and Meander will also get funds spent on open drains. Westbury's stormwater will get $220,000 worth of upgrades.
More than $376,000 will be spent on administration, which includes a $250,000 upgrade and expansion to the council's office and foyer refurbishment.
Just over $1 million is budgeted for unallocated or unclassified projects. This includes major plant replacement and light vehicle replacement. The council will spend $750,000 purchasing the works depot land.
The budget is on par with the 2018/19 budget which had a spend of $8 million, however it is $151,000 above the council's long-term financial plan.
