While the Hawks have a bye to stew over last weekend's nail-biting 57-58 derby loss, the Cavs head to St Brendan Shaw College to take on the comp's North-West outfit yet to get within 17 points of any opponent.
The Cavs coaching team has been impressed with the playing group's workload on and off the ball plus the trust and confidence they have in each other and patience when needed.
Assistant coach Anita Batty was proud of the group.
"The double-header weekend and our close match against the Hawks showcased the amazing workload that our players have in their tanks," she said.
"We strongly believe that the girls have the capacity to back themselves to go hunting for the ball and apply high pressure throughout the court."
The playing group has been working hard on centre pass structures in both attacking and defending ends and will be looking to execute these against their hosts.
Dan Roden's team remains confident in the depth of its playing group despite being without key mid-court player and captain Shelby Miller whose Tasmanian Magpies commitments have kicked in.
