
The walking paths of the Cataract Gorge were filled to the brim on Sunday to check out all the action of the Cataract Gorge Extreme Race.
Hydro Tasmania performed the water release from Trevallyn Dam on Sunday for the event, which began at 1pm.

Tamar Canoe Club's Geoff Macqueen said the day went very well, despite a lower turnout from participants than in previous events.
He said a few people had travelled down from interstate to take part in Paddle Week but decided to give the Cataract Gorge Extreme Race a miss after seeing how complex the race was, leaving only Tasmanians competing on the day.
