Jackson Blair continued his run of 2019 goal-kicking success with a three-goal performance in the Tigers' 37-point win over Deloraine.
Joined by Michael Larby and Daniel Berry kicking multiples, Blair has managed to bag 14 majors across the three games so far this season and has been a catalyst for Longford's success so far as they ran away 10.12 (72) to 5.5 (35) against the Kangaroos.
All of Longford's leaders stood up in the important clash with coach Beau Thorp kicking a goal and being named best-on-ground for the Tigers.
Vice-captains Blair and Josh Frankcombe as well as captain Tom Cox all featured predominantly in passages of play.
Jason Griffin kicked two for the improving Kangaroos with Dom Shegog, Deloraine's best Matthew O'Donoghue and Ashdyn Heathcoate all finding the big sticks once throughout the game.
Deloraine will look to add to their solitary win as they face Scottsdale next week, with undefeated Longford moving on to an intriguing tussle with Rocherlea.
HILLWOOD were clinical in their destruction of Rocherlea despite a slow start for the Sharks at home as they emerged victorious.
Leading by only six points at quarter time, the home side piled on the goals to lead by 25 points at the main break before a 12 goal to three second half boosted the Sharks' percentage.
Isaac Thompson and Jake Pearce fought hard all day to provide quality entry through the midfield for the dangerous forward line of Zac Oldenhof (four majors), Nick Pearce and Tom Bennett who both ended up with three apiece in the 18.14 (122) to 6.4 (40) victory.
Rocherlea weren't able to gain consecutive wins in the clash with Brayden Claridge kicking two majors, bringing his tally to 14, sitting equal with Longford's Blair on points prior to their shootout next weekend.
Claridge was joined by Nick Hammersley and Kurt Burling in the goal-scorers as Mathew Scott, Joel Slater, Samuel Suter and Samuel Maddern produced Rocherlea's better performances in the disappointing loss.
Hillwood now move on to a heavyweight showdown with the impressive Bridgenorth and Rocherlea look to rejuvenate their season with a tough task against Longford.
BRIDGENORTH fought off inaccurate goal-kicking in windy conditions at Prospect Park to run away 42-point victors.
Holding a comfortable lead throughout the match, a four goal spurt in the final quarter ensured the win.
100-gamer Callum Mulder was one of Bracknell's better players in the 7.6 (48) to 12.18 (90) loss.
