The new NAB League side has already collected two pleasing victories from its three appearances in the prestigious Victorian-based under-18 competition.
Fletcher's rising charges will host Western Jets in the curtain raiser to the opening Tasmanian AFL match of the season at UTAS Stadium.
"It's always nice to get the result at the end of the day, but we've got to change the behaviours - that's done over a 16-round period," he said.
"The ebbs and flows will come, so we just have to make sure we prepare professionally. All we do is teach players to play in certain positions and they become tools of the trade to be able to do those roles.
"The result is really just the outcome which will come.
"That is what we're really trying to focus on: what can we get better at the moment."
Fletcher is fairly pleased with the Devils' record so far following a 12-point win last start against Calder Cannons.
The most impressive part was holding the club, known as the factory for producing a large number of AFL draft stars, to just three goals at three-quarter time including 10 points to half-time.
The Tasmanians kicked eight goals until the Cannons fought back to kick four goals to two in the last term.
"Our defence is holding up really well," Fletcher said.
"But can we get some easy ball flow when we get some soft goals? That's the next part of our development.
"So to keep a free-flowing team to that score was quite impressive, but we don't want to goal-keep either.
"We have to make sure we turn the ball over quicker forward. That's really got to be a main focus."
Star trio Jackson Callow, Sam Collins and Oliver Davis will miss over selection in the Australian under-17 side and midfielder Mitch O'Neill has been sidelined with injury.
Launceston pair Isaac Chugg and Harvey Griffiths are two of the four inclusions.
