The Blues have named the same line-up for the third week in a row after a maiden win over North Hobart and a five-goal loss to North Launceston last weekend.
A Clarence side buoyed by the return of coach Jeromey Webberley awaits at Bellerive Oval, but so too does the chance for the Blues to take a two-game lead on their Southern counterparts.
Set to play his first-ever development league game on Saturday as he returns from a year on the sidelines, Blackberry outlined his side's intent to take eight points from its upcoming clashes with Clarence and Tigers.
"The fact we've been up against the three best teams in the comp and been competitive for long periods has definitely been a positive," Blackberry said.
"To get the good win over North Hobart was good for the morale but these two weeks coming up are going to be really important and to get the two wins and go into the break 3-3 is going to be super important.
"If we can get a two-game buffer over the Tigers and a three-game gap over Clarence ... North Hobart are going to trouble some teams later on in the year but we've already got a buffer on them.
"If we can keep that then the pressure comes back on those teams and we can play around with a few different things and try some people if it gets to the point where we know we're safe."
The Kangaroos are yet to taste victory in 2019 after a 16-point loss to Lauderdale last week.
