Valued at a cool $650,000, the 488 Pista will be on show to the wider Australian public for the first time during the April 29 to May 4 event, spending time on display in Launceston as well as leading the tour's Ferrari component.
The Pista is the most powerful V8 ever produced by the Italian sports car manufacturer and boasts a 3.9-litre twin-turbo engine that sends 530kW of power and 770Nm of torque to its back wheels.
The vehicle has a maximum speed of 340km/h and takes just 2.85 seconds to reach 100km/h from stationary.
Zero to 200km/h takes 7.6 seconds.
The Pista will be on display for fans at the Silverdome in Prospect between 6-9pm on Sunday, and again on Wednesday, May 1.
Ferrari Australasia chief executive Herbert Appleroth will pilot the vehicle during the rally.
