Nearly 12 months since going down in a clash with North Launceston, the classy midfielder will travel to Clarence on Saturday for what could be the first of several tune-up games before he returns to the senior side.
"I'll play D-league, I don't know how many games I'll play," the 27-year-old said.
"That'll just be very dependent on how I go I guess, I've got to try and get back into the team first.
"There's no restrictions on how much or how little I can play so that's nice - it'll be a different Saturday running out at 12 but I'm looking forward to it.
"We've got a good bunch of young kids so it's exciting to run out with them and give them some leadership - they've probably needed an older head out there the last couple of weeks so hopefully I can take a few under the wing."
