Making his TSL debut with Clarence last season, the 21-year-old crossed to Windsor Park and has been a handy pick-up for the Blues in the absence of injured skipper Jay Blackberry and departed midfielders Sam Lonergan, Sam Rundle and Chayce Jones.
Having spent the opening weeks on the wing, the former Thistle was thrown on ball in last round's loss to North Launceston and finished with 20-plus disposals for his best game to date in the navy blue.
"I've loved it, I've loved the move home," Seymour said.
"I didn't really know anyone that well here [when I arrived] but I feel like I've fitted in really well, they're great blokes.
"Those boys Jobi, Palf and Donza are all really good players so I'm just trying to learn off them.
"I feel like I'm fitting in all right - I'm not quite as fit and fast as them, but I feel like there's a role for me in that midfield."
Seymour has increasingly turned his hand to football in recent years after a stellar junior cricket career which included playing for Australia's under-19s in 2015.
The Deakin University student wouldn't rule out returning to the cricket pitch, but admitted it was unlikely in the next year or two.
"I've loved the time off - a lot of people do say once you take the time off over summer it's hard to go back.
"I do love cricket but I think the next year or two I'll probably just continue what I'm doing - I'm working pretty hard with uni so it's nice to have a bit of time off at some stage of the year.
"Pre-season now for State League teams is pretty full-on, it's three nights a week all the way from November through to end of September so having that time off over summer is nice."
Saturday's clash with Clarence will be Seymour's first since departing, while new Roos Ethan Jackson and Blair Rubock will also play against their old club for the first time.
Seymour said his return to Bellerive Oval would be an amicable one.
"Only spending a year there it's not like I've got a history with Clarence, but at the same time I've got some good mates there so I'm looking forward to running around against them and having a beer after the game.
"It is just another game of footy, that's the reality, but it'll be nice to see a few familiar faces."
