Multiple emergency crews were called out to Ravenswood on Sunday to battle a deliberately lit house fire.

Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended the scene at 5 Tahara Court about 2am after reports of smoke coming from the single-storey residence.
Police said on arrival the house was fully engulfed by flames, however concentrated efforts from fire crews ensured the fire didn't spread to neighbouring properties.

The house was owned by Community Housing and was being rented, though Tasmania Fire Service said the residence appeared to be boarded up. No one was inside the house at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The damage was estimated at $220,000.
