Five men were rescued about one kilometre East of Swansea about 4pm, after their boat capsized and they were forced into the water.
Fortunately, all those on board were wearing approved personal flotation devices.
Around the same time south of Swansea, two men and two woman were also forced into the water after their five-and-a-half metre Caribbean Cuddy Cabin was swamped by a wave.
Also wearing PFDs, all four made it safely to shore where they were able to contact emergency services.
The group were also checked by paramedics and did not require any further treatment.
The boat later sunk about 40 metres from shore.
Tasmania Police remind all boat users to wear approved PFD when going out on the water.
