A 29-year-old man who was assisting Tasmanian Police with the investigation of a murder in the state's South has been released.

The man was helping with information into the death of Jarrod Leigh Turner, 22. Mr Turner's body was found on the side of the road near Richmond on Sunday morning.
Two people were taken into custody, but the 29-year-old man was released without charge on Thursday evening.
A 14-year-old girl has been charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Tasmania Police Detective Inspector Doug Rossiter said the investigation is progressing as planned.
"We believe the people involved in the suspected murder of Mr Turner were known to him," he said.
"There are others out there who know what happened that night and we are calling on them to come forward to police now."
