The kayaker missing in waters off Maria Island has been located safe and well on Il De Nord Island on Monday morning.
EARLIER:
Emergency services are ramping search efforts for a kayaker who failed to return on Monday afternoon.
The 54-year-old man set off about 9.30am and was due to return to Darlington on Maria Island at 2pm.
He was last seen fishing from his kayak near Long Point about midday on Monday.

A major search and rescue operation is underway this morning, with two Westpac Rescue Helicopters, police vessels and the volunteer coastguard searching waters from first light.
The man's kayak was red and he was wearing a personal flotation device.
Police are calling for anyone who may have seen the man near Maria Island and Mercury Passage to call 131 444.
