"Noah's better than his dad, hands down," joked Sciulli, whose head of coaching at Launceston City is Mies' father, Roger.
Both have been free-scoring centre forwards at Prospect and Sciulli said Mies Junior has become a pivotal figure in his current side.
Named the state league's best young player in 2017, Mies scored 15 goals last season and continued the progression this year.
The muscular left-footer opened his account inside the first minute of the season against reigning champions Devonport and has scored in five of City's seven games including a double plus three assists against Clarence on Saturday.
"Noah has made and scored a lot of goals and has been brilliant for us," Sciulli said.
"Going forward with the ball at his feet he is very good for us. His strength is his sheer bulk and ability to make and score goals."
