The state boys went down to Victoria Metro 70-65 in Monday's game to slip to a 2-1 win/loss record.
Tasmania trailed by seven points at quarter-time, but an inspired 24-16 second term gave the underdogs a one-point lead at the long break.
But the Victorians pulled away towards victory with a dominant second half.
Taran Armstrong (18) and Jackson Lowe (17) took on a burden of Tassie's scoring.
But captain Reyne Smith led Tasmania to a powerful 99-68 win on Sunday over Western Australia Country.
Smith scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed five steals in the process that set up a matchwinning 19-point advantage at half-time.
Tasmania's girls were 0-2 heading into Monday night's must-win encounter against New South Wales Country.
That came after Sharn Hayward stood out with 15 points in a 106-62 loss to Victoria Country on Sunday.
