A number of events will be held throughout the week, all along the theme of 'champion of champions' with an emphasis on sports.
Events organiser Stephanie Sebastian said the festival has been held since 2011 and has grown significantly since.
"It's really to celebrate Easter and to tell people all about Easter," Ms Sebastian said.
"It's about 35 churches and Christian groups coming together to put on this free festival for everyone."
In other news:
Ms Sebastian said everyone is welcome to the free events.
The festival will commence with an Easter sports clinic at Windsor Park and include a festival celebration at City Park on Saturday between 11am and 2pm.
"It is quite interesting because people would know that there are quite a few different churches and some are very formal, some are very relaxed but everyone is really getting together this time and putting on this festival for everyone together," Ms Sebastian said.
In keeping with the theme Commonwealth Games high jump bronze medalist Nicola McDermott will attend the sports clinic as well as the City Park festival.
