The Burnie Dockers flashed their NWFL premiership credentials with a 16-point win over Wynyard in an injury-riddled clash at the Wynyard Recreation Ground.

The Dockers were without a bench for the final two and a half quarters after injuries to Brayden Hayes, Isaac Plant and Josh Murray, but it did not hold them back in the 15.11 (101) to 12.13 (85) victory, with the Cats losing forward Stuart Turner in the first quarter to a concussion.

Dylan Smith was the Dockers best with assistance from Bailey Boag, Nick McKenna, Josh Gale and Brodie Knight.

Boag and Nick Walters led the way up forward with three goals each and Harry Walters, Tyrone Morrison and Joel O'Donnell added two each.

Ben Richmond was a presence in the air and was the Cats' best and Gregg Sharman (three goals), Matthew Bugg and Joel Poke had an impact.

East Devonport needed a strong final quarter to get over the top of a gallant Penguin in a 13.16 (94) to 9.7 (61) win at Girdlestone Park.

The Swans' built up their lead in the first, second and fourth quarters, as both teams ended the game with no players on the bench.

Josh Handley was named as the Swans' best with help from Simon Ackerley, Damien Medwin (five goals) and Rodney Coghlan.

Luke Von Bibra was the Two Blues best in the defeat and coach Chris McDonald gave his all up forward with four goals.

Ulverstone bounced back from a first round defeat at the hands of Wynyard with a 71-point thumping of Latrobe at the Ulverstone Recreation Reserve.

Leading by 11 points at half-time, the Robins exploded in the second half with 14 goals to the Demons two to cruise to the victory.

Klay Griffiths and Tyler Everett were the Robins and the damage up forward was done by Claye Sculthorpe (six goals) and Jake Sushames (five goals).

Gavin Woodcock was the Demons best and Jesse Richardson kicked two goals.
