Tasmania Fire Service said on Wednesday morning the 56 hectare out-of-control blaze was a severe danger risk and was moving fast.
A firefighter was injured on Tuesday, but they received immediate treatment.
No homes or shacks had been lost to fire, according to TFS.
At least three water-bombing aircraft are supporting ground crews as they battle to regain control of the bushfire, which when a registered burn escaped from a property about 2.30pm on Tuesday.
TFS acting district officer Steven Walkley said changeable winds overnight made extinguishing the fire very difficult, with crews forced to defend properties from embers.
"A number of fire crews will be on scene today supported by machinery and helicopters to contain and extinguish the fire," he said.
If possible, residents are advised leave.
Community members unable to leave should find a large area of clear vegetation to take refuge, TFS said.
TFS said only strongly defended homes, made to be bushfire proof in severe conditions, could protect your life.
An evacuation centre has not been set up at this stage.
