Bunnings state operations manager Matt Tyler said more than 17,000 items were available through the click and collect service, adding to the more than 27,800 products already available online through the company's Special Orders.
"Our customers are leading the way," Mr Tyler said.
"About 85 per cent of our customers who shop our Special Orders online choose to pick up from their local store rather than opt for delivery - well above the national average.
"This tells us that our customers want the convenience of online shopping, but still want to head down to their local Bunnings to pick up their items, keep shopping, and enjoy the local sausage sizzle and other in-store activities."
Mr Tyler said the strength in the state's property market made Tasmania the obvious choice for expanding Bunnings' digital offering.
"Our property market continues to perform strongly as people look to buy, invest, or improve their largest and often their most important asset - the family home," he said.
"This is why we are looking forward to bringing them even more convenience, making it even easier to get those projects in and around the home done."
Items available for click and collect include power tools, tools and accessories, fixings and hardware, and lighting and electrical.
Order placed by 4pm will be ready for pick-up by 9am the following day.
Exclusions to the service include big, bulky, and dangerous goods, age restricted lines such as spray paint, trade yard items, and nursery items.
