The Victorian Reliance II was loaded with car transporters bound for Symmons Plains for the Supercars Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint, starting on Friday.
The cars were unloaded one by one and carried in a convoy of trucks down the gangway.
The multi-million dollar rigs then lined up ready for the journey east to Symmons Plains.
A big crowd is expected a Symmons this weekend for the debut in Tasmania of the new Ford Mustang, taking on the contenders for the Supercars championship.
It was the first trip to Tasmania on Toll's new ships, which started the Bass Strait run.
The Supercars will hold their traditional transporter parade around the north on Wednesday afternoon.
The transporter parade schedule is -
- 3:00pm - Departs Symmons Plains Raceway
- 3:10pm - Passes through Perth
- 3:25pm - Down Southern Outlet into Launceston and through CBD along Bathurst Street past Brickfields and through Invermay along East Tamar Highway heading North
- 3:55pm - Loops around at the George Town Road turnoff past the Black Stallion Hotel for the return trip back through Invermay along East Tamar Highway through CBD on Wellington Street through CBD
- 4:15pm - Departs Launceston via Southern Outlet for the journey back to Symmons Plains Raceway via Perth on Midland Highway
Practice for the Tasmania Supersprint begins on Friday, with racing on Saturday and Sunday.
