Federal Small Business Minister Michaelia Cash opened the fair, saying she enjoyed attending the business roadshow created with the fairs as she got to meet "dynamic women and men" throughout the country.
Highlighting Northern Tasmanian small businesses Windy Park Alpacas, which started six months ago, and well-established business Harmony Hair, Senator Cash said both businesses had employees, which supported this economy.
"They are enthusiastic, passionate and backing themselves," Senator Cash said.
Fair visitors could speak with government departments, such as ASIC, ATO, Austrade, Australian Small Business Advisory Services, Australian Indigenous Employment services, and organisations to help hire and manage businesses.
