Police have advised that the West Tamar Highway at Legana is now open to all traffic, as a result of the earlier crash.
UPDATE 5.15pm:
A man and a women, both believed to be aged in their 40s, have been taken to Launceston General Hospital with minor injuries.
It is understood the male driver of a ute travelling south towards Launceston, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a car travelling north, police say.
The drivers were the sole occupants of the cars involved in the crash.
Police remain on the scene, with traffic delays expected.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
EARLIER 4pm:
Police and emergency services are responding to a two-car crash at the intersection of Atkinsons Road and the West Tamar Highway at Legana.
At this stage, no life-threatening injuries have been reported, police say.
