BOM has issued a severe weather warning for the across Tasmania including the North-East, East Coast, Central Highlands and the North-West.
Winds averaging between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour, as well as gusts between 90 and 100 kilometres per hour, were predicted in affected areas.
Winds in the North are predicted to remain high, but ease Tuesday on morning.
Another cloudy day is predicted for Tuesday, with a slight chance of a shower in the early morning and west to north-westerly winds between 20 and 30 kilometres per hour.
A gale warning has been issued for marine areas during Tuesday as well, including the East Coast, South-East Coast and east of Flinders Island.
