While inclement weather had threatened for much of the day the meeting at Latrobe Speedway did get underway and the loyal fans were treated to some great action.

The super sedan final was a drama filled event with Adam Beechey powering away from pole position ahead of Wayne Dillon and Laura Davidson.
Australian champion Callum Harper was in fourth and challenging. By lap eight Harper had moved into second and started to chase Beechey.
A caution on lap 13 saw Harper sent to the infield with a fuel leak and unable to rejoin.
Beechey proved to be too good for the rest as Dillon battled David Nichols, Davidson and Steve Latham. Davidson regained third from Latham.
The street stock ironman would see the top point scorers from the heats start at the rear and then select who would start in the spot in front of them ensuring the quick competitors were at the rear for the 40-lap dual direction event.
Luke Williams led early and from Damien Hall and Steven Harvey.
Harvey hit the lead on lap 17. At lap 20 the caution waved and the cars restarted in the opposite direction. Harvey led from Williams who withdrew two laps later moving Troy Russell, Corey Bauld and John Riley up a spot.
Harvey held out Russell and Bauld until the final lap when Russell stole the lead to win.
Daniel Brooks led the AMCAs from flag to flag while Rohan Blair had an intense battle for second from Andrew Ryder and Jake Briggs who finished in that order.
In the Formula 500s Dylan Beveridge was back and certainly let his competitors know that his speed hadn't diminished with a dominant performance in the final. He established a handy break to win from Nick Kingston and Kristian Kelly.
The race was marred with an early stoppage as Taylor Johnson lost a wheel and pirouetted into the wall.
Jayden Triffett had a comfortable win in the junior top stars with the major battle being for the minor placings.
Lucas Dickenson had his hands full fending off solid challenges from Paige Allison and Mitch Colgan. Colgan set the quickest lap on the final lap.
Junior new stars saw Stevie Smith hold out Sharni Farrell for the win.
Lachlan Robins had a great battle to take third from Nate Garwood by two one thousandths of a second.
The kart final had plenty of drama with leader Brady Tyler clipping a track marking cone and being sent to the rear for the restart.
Geoff Lawrence went on to win, although Tyler grabbed plenty of attention as he charged through the field to grab second.
The season continues next Saturday at Carrick Speedway.
