More obvious
ONE thing that has repeatedly happened over the course of history is that protesters often disparaged at the time, invariably are in the long term proven correct.

The much maligned Greens, it would seem, are proving to be correct now that climate change is becoming more obvious.
As the forests of the world are plundered by self serving humans, damaged by bushfire at an ever increasing rate, and violent storms, the lungs of the Earth are slowly being placed under ever increasing stress.
There is also prolonged drought, insect attack and fungal disease contributing to tree loss. Notwithstanding all of this, many trees are deciduous, meaning in their time of dormancy they are not producing life giving oxygen. The results of failing to address climate change are becoming all too apparent.
The diminished ability of a smaller number of trees to absorb a sufficient amount of carbon dioxide and replace it with oxygen, in the form of water vapour, is a fundamental cause of the problem we are now confronted with.
Climate change is a little like a smoker, no ill effects for many years, by which time if left unchecked may result in a fatality.
Due to the overall rise in temperature, forest fires on a global scale are destroying an ever increasing amount of trees.
Where the land is devoid of vegetation the surface temperature of the ground rises extraordinary.
If this were to happen on a large enough scale, life as it has been may well cease to exist. Trees create their own environment, we have all experienced the cool under the shade of trees on a hot day.
Replacement of trees needs to be given a priority, and at least three for every one removed for commercial use.
The time is well overdue for this looming global problem to be given the urgent attention it deserves by national government leaders throughout the world.

Schools
PITY climate studies at school haven't included benefits to reducing carbon emissions by switching to less carbon-intensity fuels.
Perhaps the students are unaware of the reductions in Europe by using gas piped from Russia or in the USA from releasing gas by fracking.
Obviously these measures are not perfect, but they're making very significant reductions, as would India and other countries by using Adani coal instead of their inferior coals.
