Oliver Carswell's January ticked off several items from his to-do list thanks to Tennis Australia's Super 10s pathway.

It was an off-court moment however, that he rates the highest from his whirlwind Melbourne adventure.
"The highlight was meeting Rafa [Nadal] He put his arm around me and I turned to Dad and said 'I'm never washing this again'," Oliver said.
Winning five out of seven of his matches while over the Bass Strait, the Launceston Church Grammar School student earned his way into the state side through his performance in the local Super 10s and junior development series tournaments.
With tennis running through the 10-year-old's bloodline, as Oliver's father, Mathew and grandfather, David, are both coaches, Oliver's goals for 2019 include representing Tasmania's under 11s on the Gold Coast and improving his performance against older Tasmanian players.
With the 2019 season of Super 10s tennis recently commencing statewide, coach and father Mathew Carswell couldn't be happier with the program that saw his son represent Tasmania on a national stage.
"The Melbourne trip made Oli realise this is what he wants to do" Mathew said.
"The players were treated as mini professionals and were able to do things and get into places that the general public couldn't so Tennis Tasmania and Australia have done a great job with this program."
With last year's teams being named after Northern tennis legacies: Byrne, Hiskins, MacPherson and Carswell, this year the four Northern sides are identified by current Australian players.
