Harmony Day coincides with the United Nation's International Day for the Elimination of Discrimination, promoting understanding and celebration of cultural differences.
As part of the celebrations, the Migrant Resource Centre and Cityprom will be hosting a community festival in Civic Square.
Migrant Resource Centre North chief executive Ella Dixon said Harmony Day celebrations have grown to be a rather large community festival.
"At its [Harmony Day's] core is a very simple idea of how good food and music can bring people together," Ms Dixon said.
"We are thrilled by the level of interest shown from community groups and stakeholders and the variety of this year's program."
