Ulverstone secured second position on the ladder courtesy of their first innings win over the ladder leading Burnie Hurricanes.
The Black Caps needed just 11 runs to claim first innings points, however, a fired-up Kurt Lamprey (4-24) produced an outstanding spell, and the visitors slumped to 6/92.
But a 56-run partnership between skipper Josh Walmsley (85) and Andrew Van Tatenhove (29 not out) ensured the Black Caps would claim first innings points. The visitors were eventually bowled out for 171.
The Hurricanes commenced their second innings trailing by 73 runs and were vulnerable as they soon slumped to 3/14.
James Odgers (30) looked to have things back on track, but when he fell the floodgates opened again and the home side were soon 7/63.
With Will Dau (4-34) and Kial Hingston (2-27) giving nothing away, Ulverstone saw a chance to press for an outright result and top spot.
But Nick Imms (eight not out) and Nick Granger (22 not out) managed to hold out the Black Caps' attack and their unbeaten 29-run partnership saw the Hurricanes through to 7/92 when stumps was called.
Devonport made short work of Sheffield on Day 2. The Orions resumed their innings at 8/143 but lost their final two wickets in quick succession to be bowled out for 150. Gary Miles finished with the impressive figures of 4-33 from 25.3 overs.
The visitors had a mountain to climb in their second innings, trailing the Orions by 99 runs, but Devonport's bowling attack again got the better of the Mountaineers' batsmen, and they were skittled for just 73 in 36.1 overs.
Alex King (19) and Aiden Marshall (16 not out) were Sheffield's leading run scorers, while Sam Fogg (4-27), Sam O'Mahony (3-11) and Josh Brown (3-20) led the way for the Orions.
Wynyard resumed at 3/45 on Day 2, needing 131 runs to claim first innings points against Latrobe, but the Blues lost three early wickets and were in trouble at 6/57.
Skipper Peter Fulton gave everything he had in the run chase, scoring a patient 50 from 147 balls (six fours), however it wasn't quite enough as the visitors were dismissed for 136. Lachlan Walsh was the pick of the Latrobe bowlers with 4/37.
A sporting declaration from Demons' skipper Callan Morse set up the possibility of an outright result.
Latrobe made 5/91 from 19 overs and Wynyard needed 130 from the remaining overs to score an outright win. But the Blues had no answer to the Demons' bowlers, and with Walsh taking a further three wickets, the visitors were dismissed for just 60.
Final Ladder: Burnie Hurricanes 159, Ulverstone 153, Sheffield 148, Devonport 140, Latrobe 80, Wynyard 39.
