In Australia, we are feeling the pain of our Kiwi cousins. We are horrified to have our nationality linked to the brutal murders of 49 people.
We also share the fear and despair of the many Muslims who call, Launceston, Tasmania and Australia home.
In the manifesto, the attacker spoke of inciting hatred. He craved retalliation. He will not win.
The leadership of Jacinda Ardern must be admired. Her strength and empathy is one that many leaders and politicians should take note.
I do not want to taint this message, however I must also condemn the the comments of one Australian politician. His words do not represent us nor do will they ever help us prevent us from happening this again.
Our diversity is our strength. You see this in work places, in organisations, in towns and in countries.
We will not let hate win.
Kia kaha.
