Birralee Pony Club member Bethany Hirst and her pony Partly Cloudy participated in the trials at Tall Timbers from March 9 to 11.
Bethany was one of the youngest competitors in the competition at 15-years-old.
She finished second in the dressage competition, and was the only rider to clear both time and jumping faults cross country on Sunday, which moved her into the overall lead.
After a close show jumping round, Bethany and Partly Cloudy won the event by more than five penalties.
As Bethany was a junior, she also collected the Under 17 Members Trophy for highest placed young rider, and helped her Northern Zone Team win the Grade 1 Teams Trophy and Marie Viney Dressage Trophy.
Bethany was one of few junior riders to win the overall Grade 1 Championship, which is open to riders under 25-years-old.
