Organiser Tim Jarosz said this year's event followed the same concept as the past three, with 27 beers from Tasmanian breweries, music and food, it now includes sessions with FermenTasmania for home and professional brewers.
"There is also a world-renowned hop expert from Oregon flying in for the event," Mr Jarosz said.
"He will be talking about hops and yeast in three sessions on quality, which is a big problem for brewers, how, why and when to use fresh hops, and brewing lessons from the Pacific North-West."
These sessions have been organised to to tie in with FermenTasmania's aim for the state to become internationally-recognised as a centre for excellence in the design, production and marketing of fermented food and beverages.
Tasmanian brewers will be at the festival, catching up with others in the industry and picking up new tips.
Beers from Tasmanian brewers, like Moo Brew, Morrison Brewery, Seven Sheds, Little Rivers Brewing Co, Bruny Island Beer Co and Iron House Brewery, will sit alongside interstate brews from Sauce Brewing Co, Hop Nation, Newstead Brewing, Welder's Dog Brewery and The Mill Brewery.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Jarosz said a big crowd was expected.
"Last year we sold tickets before the event and on the gate and we sold out. The Friday and Saturday sessions were at capacity and we had to turn people away," he said.
Organisers considered moving to a larger venue to accommodate more than 800 patrons, however "what makes it so good is that intimate space".
They are also offering those who are planning to head to the Sunday AFL match free entry so "people can make a weekend of it".
"It will be a good little weekend in Launceston."
