According to the Bureau of Meteorology, a frontal band expected to cross the state on Tuesday will bring cold and gusty southwesterly winds and inland frosts.
Temperatures are expected to get as low as four degrees on Wednesday in Launceston, and eight degrees on Thursday.
A frost warning has been issued for the Midlands and East Coast for Wednesday morning.
It comes after Tasmania recorded its second-warmest summer on record, with extreme temperatures across Australia.
Overall Tasmania's Autumn is predicted to be warmer and drier than average.
