Ms Colbeck, 21, is now back in Tasmania - and brought the game-changing business with her.

"I went to some Rabble classes over there because I didn't know anyone," she said.

She has signed on as Rabble's first Australian franchisee and will run the business around her teacher aide role at the Northern Support School and bar job.

Rabble is based on "old-school games" - like dodgeball, capture the flag and frisbee - that are mixed with high-intensity interval training workouts.

"When you get hit with a dodgeball, instead of just being out and standing there you will run to a tree that is 10 metres away and then come back into the game straight away."

Participants spend about five minutes on each game before the next one starts.

"You're keeping your heart rate up the whole time. There is very little down time, but you can tailor it to your fitness level so it's for everyone," Ms Colbeck said.

Each session lasts an hour, with a social component afterwards.

"I wanted to do something that was more community based, that could bring people together. It's good for me as well to meet new people because I've been away for so long."

"After most sessions we'll head down to Seaport for a coffee together. A big part of it is having that social side and meeting new people.

"We also organise social trips and black tie events throughout the year as well," she said.

Rabble was founded in the United Kingdom in 2014 by international triathlete Charlotte Roach.

Ms Coleck launches Rabble Launceston at Royal Park on Saturday, March 16, at 2pm.

She is considering holding classes at 6pm on Monday and Wednesday nights, with another session at the weekend.
