Also featured in the concert will be 16 participants in the festival, who will present a piece written especially for this performance after three days of tutelage from Braga, and the piece's composer, Ricardo Medeiros.
Braga said the harp, as an instrument, had "a history that has accompanied mankind."
After first seeing a picture of a harp in a children's book at age three, she knew it was for her.
"It's important that it is played in all the corners of the world - when you see what it does for the brain of listeners, with their notion of space and time … and it is not only a very beautiful instrument from the sound perspective, but it's a beautiful instrument to see.
"When you play it, you feel that you are human."
Harp Island is the only festival of its kind in Australia, bringing harp lovers from interstate and across the world to share their passion for the instrument and learn from the best.
- Harp Island concert at Aspect Tamar Valley Resort, March 11 at 2pm, $15, or $10 concession. Booking for lunch recommended.
