That is a lot of caffeine fuelling Launceston, but owners Tim and Archana Brammall are grateful to be part of this community.
Starting as a tiny 'hole in the wall' espresso bar serving specialty coffee in 2014, Sweetbrew has been through many iterations to become a bustling cafe that also offers high quality food.
To mark this milestone and say thank you to staff, customers, suppliers and the Launceston community, Sweetbrew is giving away unlimited coffees on Thursday.
"It is a big deal to reach five years in a small business, in a small town, in an industry that is constantly evolving, that needs to be on the ball all the time, and you've always got more and more businesses around you that are also appearing," Mrs Brammall said.
Initially just one of two Launceston specialty coffee places, Sweetbrew has watched the city's coffee industry boom as customer tastes evolved.
"Customer's needs have changed a lot, and it's nice that we have been part of that educational process of moving people further into specialty coffee," Mr Brammall said.
"There's more to making a coffee than simply sticking it under the machine and pressing a button.
"We have weighed every single shot that's gone out, we've timed it, we've tipped out the ones we don't like and we've done them again to make sure that we keep serving really great coffee every time," he said.
While being proud of the achievement of five years in business, what the couple prefer to acknowledge is that they have maintained the calibre established at the beginning.
"What we're really proud of is not having reached five years, but that we have maintained a high standard for five years," Mr Brammall said.
"That has become the way you make the coffee and it's been adopted by other businesses."
Throughout the time Sweetbrew has been operating in George Street many staff have come and gone - as is the nature of the hospitality industry - however many have also stayed, eager to be part of the community the Brammalls have created around their business.
Sweetbrew now employs 19 staff, all hired for their cultural fit with business values.
"It's all about that interaction. It's a relationship; it's not just a simple transaction for $4.50 for a coffee," Mr Brammall said.
"Our approach has always been: people shouldn't come into the cafe and leave with nothing; even if it's just directions on where to go to another cafe because they're after something different, or where to go to a restaurant or how to travel to Freycinet National Park. That's what we're about here."
"Every $4.50 transaction - that we believe is a relationship more than a transaction - creates the ability to employ 19 people in some form. But it's not always just 19, it's 19 plus one more person in their lives," Mrs Brammall added.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Sweetbrew's community expands beyond Launceston to India and Ethiopia, countries where Mrs Brammall lived - and some of her family continues to live.
"This little business supports nine cousins, two aunts and two uncles in every possible way - in education, in health, sanitation, HIV, just life in general," she said.
"This little hole impacts so many people across three continents. I think that's what makes it so much more human and I really like that it has that really human effect; it's not just a business."
Plus, as Mr Brammall says, "Ethiopia is the home of coffee, so there's that natural connection there".
Suppliers Five Senses Coffee, Pyengana Dairy through Tasmanian Food Co, PacKings and Doppio Foods are sponsoring Sweetbrew's event on Thursday.
Customers can also support Launceston-based charity Care for Africa while enjoying their free coffee too.
"People will have the opportunity to donate to Care for Africa, which links back to Tanzania and all the projects they are doing there as well," Mr Brammall said.
