The 18-year-old off-spinner was one of three changes for today's clash with top-of-the-table Victoria in St Kilda, and will play his second Tigers match having debuted against New South Wales in February last year.
Fellow George Town bowler Gabe Bell and quick Sam Rainbird were also recalled, with Tim Paine, Alex Pyecroft and Tom Rogers making way.
The Tigers sit fifth on the Shield ladder with four rounds to play.
