It is 12-metres tall, making it one of the tallest play equipment pieces of its type in Australia
The sky walk is the first major attraction of the Riverbend Park construction to be near completion.
The next large project for construction crews to work on is a confluence net close to the Silo Hotel.
City of Launceston council Mayor Albert van Zetten said works were progressing well, with the park to be available to the public late in autumn or winter.

"Families can rest assured there will be fantastic equipment for all ages," he said.
"We're really going to see the site taking shape over the next couple of months.
"There will also be a fenced toddler area, a car park, an events lawn, toilets, dedicated all-abilities play equipment, barbecue facilities and much more."
