Longford took on Scottsdale at home and took full advantage of their home green.

With a team shake-up, Scott Crocker had his rink bolstered with the addition of Joey Thomas.

The pair combined well with their front end, winning convincingly with a 25-shot margin.

Mark Strochnetter took the helm with Matthew Jackson in the threes position, and Craig Prewer and old faithful David Hobbs setting the rink up well from the front.

Daniel Baker had his fourth rink win on the trot, defeating Rob Claridge by 19.

The win for Longford sees them jump from fourth to first in one fell swoop and sets them up for a good shot at a top-two finish should results go their way in the weeks to come. 

Trevallyn also shook things up at the top with a two-rink win against Cosgrove Park.

On paper Trevallyn has the easiest run home, and if they can capitalise and finish strongly they look set for a double chance come finals. 

Invermay caused a massive upset with a 32-shot overall win over powerhouse club North Launceston.

Bec Van Asch’s rink was far too good for the ever-reliable David Minns, winning by 22 shots, Van Asch at her best in the dominant display.

Candice Hodgetts overcame an early eight-shot deficit to record an impressive 11-shot win over Alan Gamble, the Invermay rink all chipping in when required to give their skip the best chance to convert.

North claimed a rink win and an important two points with a come-from-behind win by Jarrod Howard over Gene Ayton. Ayton led by 14 early in the game only for Howard to claw the margin back with scores tied after 24 ends.

The last end was played six times with both skips killing multiple times before Howard won a measure to win the end and secure North its only rink win for the day.

This loss could hurt North at the end of the season, with a tough run home as they aim for their second premiership three-peat this decade.

Bridport has shown that they are able to mix it with the best, once again putting on a dominant home green performance to defeat East Launceston 11-1.

Bridport has consistently scored points on their home surface since joining Premier and if they could mix it with teams during away games they would be sure to shake up the competition. 

In Division One, East Launceston and Trevallyn are sitting pretty at the top of the table, while Kings Meadows and Exeter are fighting it out for third and fourth at this stage, Kings Meadows scoring a handy 10 points over Trevallyn in Saturday's game. 

Division 2 is a close competition with Trevallyn a game clear on top, but just six points separating second to fifth. North Launceston just one point out of fourth spot.
