The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works will host the public hearing to consider the proposed works on the Mowbray Link Junction.
The plans for a proposed roundabout to be constructed at the Mowbray Connector will be discussed. The hearing will be held on March 25, at Henty House.
Any interested individuals and organisations are asked to make a submission by Monday, March 18.
In June 2018, concerns about the state government's plan to install a set of traffic lights were raised by the community.
Windermere MLC Ivan Dean labelled the traffic light plan a nuisance.
The man behind road safety in Tasmania for a number of years, Jim Cox, and was then an alderman for City of Launceston council, said the decision to install traffic lights was "the worst he had ever seen".
Mr Cox, who was also a formerly a minister, said the idea was ridiculous.
The state government announced the plans last year. At the time, The Examiner surveyed more than 1700 people, with more than 90 per cent of respondents rejecting mooted plans to install traffic lights.
MLC Rob Valentine and Tania Rattray, along with MP Jen Butler and Mark Shelton will make up the committee.
The hearing will be held at 2pm.
