Charlotte Lukendlay, who was 11 weeks old when she died following an incident in Newnham on February 21, 2016, is the subject of a coronial inquest in Launceston this week.
Her mother, Rongrong (Angel) Lu, detailed the way in which the baby's father Guarav Endlay would handle the infant. Her fatal injuries occurred one day before they were to relocate to New South Wales.
Mr Endlay was alone with the baby before she became unresponsive, the inquest was told.
More on the Charlotte Lukendlay coronial inquest:
Ms Lu said she blamed Mr Endlay for the death of Charlotte.
"In my opinion he planned to do this. In the beginning he chose such a perfect time, he knows that the 21st of February I was the one to pack everything," she said.
"I never ever expect him to kill my baby, because the way I grow up, I grow up in a warm and loved family.
"I don't expect a person can be such an evil [sic] and kill his own baby."
Ms Lu also detailed multiple instances of family violence, including an alleged incident when the couple was living in Darwin when Mr Endlay grabbed her neck and attempted to drag her out of the house, then went to get a knife during an alcohol-induced rage.
She said his attitude towards her pregnancy changed when he found out it was a girl.
Ms Lu said his way of holding the baby was harmful.
"He just treated like an item [sic]," she said.
"He just lift extremely high, the baby is very uncomfortable, he's very roughly, the baby cry."
Charlotte was without oxygen for an hour after the fatal injuries occurred and was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital the next day.
Mr Endlay drove Ms Lu to Hobart, then attempted to drive himself back to Launceston. The inquest was told he still intended to move to New South Wales on February 22 despite Charlotte being in intensive care in hospital.
Mr Endlay denied all of the allegations made by Ms Lu, who he said did not cook or clean once during their relationship.
He claimed Ms Lu only married him to gain residency in Australia.
Counsel assisting Rebecca Lancaster questioned the truth of Mr Endlay's statements.
"What are you saying about your relationship and the lack of contribution by Ms Lu is fanciful," she said.
"There is not a chance it is true that she did not cook or clean or contribute to the household."
The inquest will continue at a date to be set.
