The Bushfire Small Business Disruption Grants seek to assist businesses with less than 20 staff to cover bills and immediate operating cost stresses felt as the result of a downturn in trading.
Premier Will Hodgman said the fire effect can be long lasting for businesses.
"This is the next iteration following in the course of what the Commonwealth has previously announced in grants for small business assistance," Mr Hodgman said.
"This is a direct recognition that many businesses were affected by fires: communities were cut off, there were road closures, people were evacuated from their homes and businesses. This will provide direct support and assistance for them."
Mr Hodgman said the government will also work with key industry sectors, particularly tourism, to bring visitors back into fire-affected areas to stimulate economic activity.
"We need to turbo-charge the visitor economy in these affected areas," Mr Hodgman said.
"The Tahune Airwalk is one of our iconic destinations, with 100,000 visitors going through there it is an important part of our visitor economy down here, and it is going to be shut for a while.
"We do need to look at new innovative ways to bring people down here."
A longer-term recovery program, Bushfire Business Recovery Grants, which will provide up to $25,000 in assistance will soon be available to help cover irrevocable losses such as crops and forests, damage to assets and lost stock or inventory.
The government said these funds would contribute to business recovery, ongoing viability and support the local economy.
A third scheme that will provide up to $100,000 per applicant over a maximum of five years will assist with the re-establishment of businesses that were directly impacted by the fire.
