The Knights on Sunday continued to take all beyond them to stretch their winning streak to nine matches, the last eight in the regional cup tournament alone.
Their last loss was just by one run in the final over to Launceston 77 days ago.
While Ulverstone at one stage did threaten to pull off an upset in their semi-final, the brilliant form culminated in South running away with the grand final in a 10-wicket demolition over Mowbray.
Both sides advanced to the decider on the day from tight semi-finals, but the minor premiers were well rested having played three hours earlier than the underdogs.
It certainly showed as a tired Mowbray struggled to hit the ball off the square.
The Eagles were in a lot of trouble at 2-6 when their star captain-coach Dana Lester was gone quickly for just two off six deliveries.
Knights spearhead Lisa Battle made it difficult to get the scoreboard ticking over.
Battle’s two short spells produced 2-3 off four overs.
Teammates – all nine bowlers – kept tight reins on Mowbray at the NTCA No.2.
Only a steady Cassie Blair (14 off 27 balls) and a hurried Paige Gibson (11 off 15) gave Mowbray 6-53 to defend.
The victory almost looked like a formality – and it was.
Caitlyn Webster continued her top form with a run-a-ball 34 that included four boundaries – three more than the Eagles batting lineup – while Meg Radford held an end up with an assured 18 from 24 balls.
The Knights’ title-deciding win in just 57 balls left more overs left than were bowled.
South had earlier set up an imposing run chase that Ulverstone fell just 10 runs short of the mark.
Amy Duggan cashed out on the run outs of the Knights openers to finish unbeaten on 46 off 56 balls.
Captain Belinda Wegman chanced her hand with a punishing 24 off just 14 balls that included five fours.
Deb Reynolds saw the reigning champions home with 14 off 15 towards 5-124.
Ulverstone star Samantha Cotton smashed her third half-century of the summer.
She fell for a superb 62 off 61 deliveries while still 18 runs short of the target.
Wegman took two valuable wickets to secure the win.
Launceston failed to chase down four-an-over in the closer of the two semi-finals.
Mowbray were bundled out for 79 off 18.3 overs.
Lester top-scored with 24 off 34 balls as the Lions gave up 11 wides among 18 extras.
Stacey Norton-Smith was the pick of the bowlers with 2-14 and then opened with a quickfire 14 off 12 balls.
But Launceston crumbled after a 26-run stand, losing 6-21 when Lester nabbed 4-11 in a six-run Eagles win.
