The seasoned 29-year-old crossed the line in a time of 34 minutes and 28 seconds.
Clark, who ran 18th in the 2016 Rio Olympic marathon, was 42 seconds faster than Melanie Daniels, with Karinna Fyfe further back to shore up a state podium finish.
The Launceston runner’s win topped off a masterful few hours for Tasmanians on Sunday morning on opposite ends of the planet.
Nearly 17,500kms away in the UK city of Birmingham, Stewart McSweyn set an impressive new Australian indoor 1500m record.
McSweyn finished third in a time of 3.35.10 behind winner Ethiopian Samuel Tefera, who broke the world record at the Muller Indoor GP.
Tasmanian athletics oracle Brian Roe was full of raptures for McSweyn’s race.

The King Islander bettered the Australian mark of Ryan Gregson by just 1.4 seconds at the same venue in what was also an Oceanian record.
Gregson, who was running in the race against McSweyn, finished sixth in 3.37.52.
Records also fell later in the day for Brett Robinson back in Hobart.
The Canberran destroyed Dave McNeill’s 2017 course record, running 28.30 amid a very fast and tight run.
Robinson held his nerve in the final stretch to pip Sydneysider Harry Summers on the line by just five seconds.
Four-time winner Liam Adams had to settle for third in his title defence, but could be satisfied that his 28.56 time also broke the previous mark by one second.
Riverside 16-year-old star Sam Clifford completed the course in 31.24 to just miss out on a top-10 place.
Kings Meadows teacher Josh Harris finished another six spots further back in 17th with a time of 33.26.
Phil McConnon, from Stonor in the south-east of the state, took out the 5km Hobart men’s run in 15.24 while Claudia Abbey won the women’s 1km run.
