The RFDST received their official ACHS accreditation on Thursday, February 14.
The council especially reviewed their expanded mental health programs, which have expanded in recent times, allowing Tasmanians in remote areas to access mental health services.
"Tasmanians looking for access to mental services can rely on the flying doctors," said chief executive of the Royal Flying Doctors Service of Australia, Martin Laverty.
"All Tasmanians can have confidence that the service is of the highest possible quality - and the report also commended the staff for being a compassionate clinical team."
