Resuming at 6-129, some excellent tail wagging from Hamish Kingston (58), Jarrod Freeman (45) and Sam Rainbird, who top-scored with  63 at number 10, ensured Tasmania reached 276 – 143 shy of Country’s first innings.

The Tigers needed to roll through Country's batting line-up cheaply, but an 83-run opening stand between Henry Hunt and Matthew Gilkes ensured no such outcome occurred. 

Jarrod Freeman and Alex Pyecroft both claimed wickets, but Country powered to 2-202 declared.

The Tigers posted 0-12 in four overs before stumps.

Tasmania remains winless at under-15 championships in Queensland following a six-wicket T20 loss to the home state on the tournament’s penultimate day. 

The Tigers made 4-95 off their 20 overs with skipper and Riverside all-rounder Cooper Anthes making 16 off 20 at the top of the order.

Kingborough’s Nicholas Williams continued his great tournament, hitting two fours and a six in an unbeaten 30 of 28.

The home side then chased down the total in less than 13 overs, racing to 2-90 in 10 overs before Ryan Borsboom (1-11 off 2.3) put on the brakes in the final overs. 

Mowbray’s Spencer Hayes took his second wicket of the tournament to finish with 1-13 off two overs.
