While having their gazebo stolen might have been the low for some punters, the weather was definitely a hindrance. 

Waking up on Saturday morning to wet tents and bedding made for a slow start to the activities with the site coming to life about 10am. 

But the party started again soon after. The blue sky came and went all day, bringing with it rain, thunderstorms and cancelled sets. 

However, the weather couldn’t keep the 8000 punters down. No one stopped dancing, but that might have just been to warm up.   

Throughout the festival, bands such as The Presets and The Jungle Giants played and the crowd loved UK’s Lily Allen. 

However, the most talked about event happened during Yungblud’s set when, in a PITP first, there was an engagement. 

A Launceston local popped the question to her fiance of five years during the Englishman’s song I Love you, Will you Marry me?. 

At first the crowd thought it was some sort of special guest until they saw Hayley down on one knee.

Her now fiance, Grace, thought she had just scored some backstage passes, but it soon turned into one of the best days of her life.

The Examiner was on site for the weekend, if you were too busy having a good time and missed some of the highlights, it’s OK. 

Tassie bands were interviewed, along with one of Australia’s rising musicians G-Flip. Punters smiled for our photographers, some even got a bit fantastically weird.
