A maximum turnout of 41 stalls made for a successful event, according to market organiser Susannah Slatter.
“This one [market] has been sold out for some time and actually the next market has also already sold out so I think people are realising they have things they want to onsell,” Ms Slatter said.
My Closet Market has been running for nearly six years, providing spaces for people to bring preloved fashion items and give them new homes.

Ms Slatter said programs encouraging a minimalist lifestyle such as Netflix’s Tidying Up with Marie Kondo have resulted in a boost in people emptying their closets.
“There’s a decluttering trend going on that we’ve seen very prominently,” she said.
“Also there’s much more of an environmental awareness, people are being far more conscious about what they buy and this is the perfect way to get rid of those things you don’t want.”
