OK, so that email subject was a tad cheeky, but the Big Bash League and crowd numbers in Tassie are increasingly frustrating.

The latest match in Hobart had just 8235 people attend.
This is to watch a home-team on the way to the finals.
Meanwhile, Launceston had more than 12,000 people attend both games this season and had the highest crowd for the season for Tassie games.
While BBL most likely won’t allow “Hobart” to be dropped given the licensing agreements, it makes business sense to host more games in Launceston.
Even the Premier mentioned Launceston hosting finals while launching Festivale a week or so ago.
While we may not get the games this year, hopefully, those making the decisions for 2019-20 will acknowledge the growth in Launceston and how strengthening the partnership with Northern Tasmania will be win-win for everyone.

I’m ready to plan another subscriber experience that is exclusive to you. Late last year we had a free morning tea and for those subscribers attended, I stepped through the process of working on publishing our website and the print edition of The Examiner.
Now, I would like to hear from you. Would you rather a print centre tour, another chance to look behind the scenes at The Examiner or a photography masterclass?
