With the Tigers’ Sheffield Shield campaign resuming in Adelaide on February 23, Alex Pyecroft, Sam Rainbird and Gabe Bell will get back in the swing of four-day cricket against a batting line-up featuring BBL batsmen Nick Larkin and Jason Sangha.
Bell has been joined in the 12-player squad by fellow George Town talent Jarrod Freeman, who will play his first Futures League game of the season if selected.
Freeman made his BBL debut for the Hurricanes last month, but appears unlikely to add to his two-game tally following the arrival of Afghan spin recruit Qais Ahmad.
The Tasmanian squad also includes former South Launceston wicketkeeper Michael Jones and under-19 state captain and national representative Keegan Oates.
The four-day match will take place at Phillip Oval in Canberra.
